So, let's not call it "needing" therapy. What if we just say, we're feeling overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, conflicted, or isolated? If you're feeling any of those things, I can help. I often start treatment the 1st or 2nd session. After 6-12 sessions clients usually feel significantly better.
For Calvin students, I am a short walk from campus. For GRCC or GVSU, I am on the public transit loop, a walk through my parking lot to the bus stop. I'd be happy to meet with anyone over the phone confidentially, or even in person (always confidentially) for a 15 minute no-obligation, no charge meeting to see if it sounds like we would be the right client-therapist fit.
I work in an office with 4 other seasoned mental health practitioners, but I am solo practice. Also, if it seems like you may need medical services, I can refer to several excellent medical practitioners, with whom I will co-ordinate care.
