Our job, as human beings, is to make the most of our gifts and to turn our struggles into meaningful experience and learned wisdom. We do this, invariably, through relationships built on trust, commitment and integrity. Fostering healthy relationships is a skill that we acquire with time and growth and we pass on these skills with patience and care from one generation to the next. I operate from the motto that every struggle is a potential gift and every gift is meant to maximize our potential to overcome struggle. My work with both children and adults, with individuals and families, is always aimed at building this skill among loved ones, between individuals and among the wider communities we are all a part of.

I have enormous respect for the perfect functionality of both our biology and our psyches, formed in the pressure cooker of millions of years of evolution. We arrive with all the tools we require for perfect health. Psychological disturbance is what happens along the way when we are overwhelmed and lose our footing. The only disease is the injury done to the human spirit. Everything else is a symptom of injury and every disturbance is the manifestation of the body’s and the mind’s commitment to bring to our attention the unhealed wounds that get in the way of our quest for enhanced survival, perfect health and the sacred task of passing on what he have gained before we return to the Source.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I have 18 years of professional experience and have worked in a variety of educational and clinical settings, both public and private. I currently work in private practice in Swarthmore, PA. I have earned a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania (1993) and a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University (2003).
