What this means is that I will meet you wherever you are on your journey. Who knows YOU the best? YOU DO. That’s what you bring to the table. We will explore different ways to increase the benefits that you’ve always wanted from life. Therapy is scary. Change is scary. But you know what’s not scary? Feeling comfortable in your own body and mind. Feeling like who you are truly meant to me. Feeling content with life and yourself every day. My job is to guide you through your therapeutic journey. I have two goals: 1. To help you reach your goals. 2. To help you have the life you’ve always wanted. As a therapist and Clinical Social Worker, I have worked with many individuals who have struggled with the roles they play in their families, work, friendships or even how they see themselves. My passion is helping individuals find whom they’ve always dreamt of being and guiding them to their authentic selves through multiple modalities. Contact me today.

Life can be complicated, messy, and painful. I try to foster an environment in which it feels safe to talk about all of that messiness. I believe the human connection we form through therapy is key to healing and growth. If you choose to work with me, I will use our connection to determine when and how to shift in and out of various roles, so you might experience me as many things: investigator, mentor, observer, coach, ally. But above all, we engage together as fellow human beings living in this complex world, with the shared endeavor of improving your well-being. Good therapy relies on the fit between you and me. If something about my profile resonated with you, I would love to talk more. If you’re not sure about therapy or about whether I can help, maybe we can figure that out together. I charge nothing for our first meeting for that very reason. I’d like to hear your story.

Hi, I’m Amanda. I work with individuals and couples who want to get to the root of their patterns—whether it’s relational conflict, trauma symptoms, anxiety, or a sense that something deeper is in the way of fully living. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but exhausted internally. Others feel flooded, shut down, or stuck in dynamics they can’t quite name. I help you slow down and listen to the wisdom of your nervous system, so we can understand how past experiences may still be living in your body—and gently unwind them. My approach integrates EMDR, somatic therapy, parts work (IFS-informed), and body-based listening tools like the Safe and Sound or Rest and Restore Protocol. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for those seeking an altered state of consciousness to process trauma or reconnect with meaning. When working with couples, I draw from Relational Life Therapy to help partners move beyond blame and disconnection and into clarity, ownership, and renewed connection. I also offer Discernment Counseling which is a short term focused therapy for couples unsure whether to stay or separate—with compassion for both perspectives. Outside the therapy room, I spend as much time as I can outdoors—going on “bug hunts” with my son, hiking local trails with my husband, or exploring a new interest in horseback riding. I also love yoga, travel, and quiet mornings with coffee and books. If you’re ready to get curious about what your symptoms are trying to say—and want to feel more connected to yourself and your relationships—I’d be honored to support your journey.

A warm, calm, non-judgmental, supportive, safe, environment is provided for my clients. The therapy session is yours, not mine, and we go at a pace that is comfortable for you. I work collaboratively with clients to help find a solution or a better way to cope with their struggles. Together we try various coping skills, build on strengths that are already present, instill hope, and recognize that you are not alone on this journey. The use of various techniques and therapeutic methods are tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual client.

While I see people for many types of reasons, I usually see clients individually that are looking to work on a present centered issue. These typically include school issues, work stress, relationship problems, or difficulty coping with anxiety / depression symptoms. In graduate school I was part of the sports psychology department. During this time I assisted in two different research studies. The first examined flow states in athletes (getting in "the zone"). The second study examined the effects of concussions in athletes. I draw upon these experiences to help students focus and stay motivated. I also had a side job in graduate school where I helped coach college students that had difficulty adjusting to college life. These practical, real world skills are something I continue to teach to this day. When meeting with a client, I keep the atmosphere relaxed and inviting. I want people to feel comfortable, but also know they are receiving "evidence based" care. This means what I say in our meetings is supported by research. That is why I use treatments that incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques. These treatments are supported by current research and have a high rate of success.

My name is Anoushey Khan and I'm a California Licensed Psychotherapist (LMFT131555) providing online therapy throughout the State. Teenage years and early adulthood can be a great time in life to learn who you are and establish your place in the world. One of the greatest gifts I've received in my 19+ years of private practice, has been to witness individuals as they move towards healing, and discover a more fulfilling, whole life. The hold an eating disorder, anxiety or trauma can have on a life is profound. To watch the grip loosen, and healing emerge, is very moving. I enjoy learning, and collecting new tools and skills to help my clients. After I obtained my MSW from New York University's School of Social Work, I completed postgraduate training in eating disorders and body image issues at the Women's Therapy Centre Institute, and in Trauma Studies at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. In addition, I completed a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing, and have assisted at professional trainings, helping other therapists to learn the model. I've led eating disorder groups for New York University's Counseling Center and various non-profit organizations, and have served as both a lecturer and group case consultant on eating disorders and trauma at postgraduate institutes in New York City. Interested in creating a culturally and spiritually sensitive practice, I completed a two-year program studying the world's major faith traditions, in an effort to better understand my clients from all backgrounds. I do not take any insurance. My fees range from $150-175 based on need, and I do not presently have a sliding scale beyond that range. If you have questions, or would like to request an appointment, please feel free to contact me. I offer ONLINE ONLY therapy in CA, CO and NY.

Hey! I’m Afshin — pronounced “of-sheen,” like the glimmer in your eye when you realize you're allowed to feel your feelings and still be funny about it. Looking for someone who’s real, queer, neurodivergent-friendly, and actually shows up in the room with you? I’m really glad you’re here. I work with new parents running on crumbs and caffeine, teens navigating identity and pressure, young adults facing messy transitions, and LGBTQIA+ folks tired of translating their experience for people who just don’t get it. I pull from Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic, DBT, CBT, and Solution-Focused approaches — but mostly, I bring curiosity, honesty, humor, and a human-first vibe. I don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” healing. Some weeks we’re untangling trauma; other weeks, we’re celebrating tiny wins — like eating a real meal or setting a boundary without the shame. My core values? Radical kindness, transparency, and the belief that being “too much” is a damn superpower. If you’re craving therapy that feels like a mix between a grounding conversation and a gentle push toward who you actually want to be — let’s talk. I’m here when you’re ready.

We believe therapy is a transformative process incorporating different layers of ourselves and our environment. We center Liberation Psychology in helping people empower themselves and dismantle the effects of colonization within and as a collective. We see the person as a whole with mind, body, soul, and spirit. We use a trauma-informed approach that shifts the focus from what's wrong with you? to what happened to you?. Being culturally humble means that you are the expert of your own life, we are equals in the therapy room, and we continuously assess and address our own biases. At Colibri Healing Therapy we are 2SLGBTQIA+ Affirmative. The universe will recycle the same experience in different forms until one is able to transcend and elevate to a higher level of self-awareness and alignment.
