Welcome to your safe space! I’m Chana, and I’m here to offer support as you navigate the unique challenges of college life. If you’re struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or relationship issues, you don’t have to face these hurdles alone. My practice is dedicated to providing a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can explore and address these concerns. College is an exciting yet demanding time, and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. Together, we can work on building your self-confidence, managing stress and anxiety, and improving your relationships. Let’s work together to help you find balance, resilience, and a deeper sense of self-worth.
I'm a clinical psychologist providing individual therapy for adults and adolescents. If you're here, then you're probably looking for a change. Life can be unpredictable, complicated, and demanding. Low self-esteem, unpleasant moods, challenging relationships, and academic/professional stressors can be difficult to navigate alone. Together we can determine what a change may look like for you and develop strategies for moving towards that change. I view therapy as a collaborative process -- a joint effort towards feeling more connected, satisfied, and adaptable. I work with professionals, students, artists, musicians, parents, and many other individuals.
I spent much of my adult life working in Emergency Medicine as a Paramedic before going to the Physician Assistant program at Loma Linda University in Southern California. After graduating from there in 2018, I spent the past five years working in addiction medicine in a residential treatment program in Boulder, Colorado. Working in addiction medicine, I commonly assisted adult patients, of all ages, dealing with anxiety, depression, cravings, withdrawal symptoms and sleep challenges. Patients would often come to me wanting to reduce their amount of medications to just what was helpful and necessary and I would take a lot of pride in helping them achieve that goal. Genetic testing provides a helpful tool to initially choose, change or adjust a dose of a particular medication. I believe that it is important to meet an individual where they are in the healing process and to address the whole person rather than just the presenting problem or symptom. To address the “whole person” requires getting a detailed history and a partnership between patient and provider. Establishing such a partnership gives me great joy.
Hi there! We are an outpatient practice offering in-person and virtual appointments. We specialize in working with those navigating the tricky terrain of growing up—dealing with friendship shifts, school pressure, big emotions, and the journey of self-discovery. Many of the clients who find us describe themselves as high-performing yet often struggling with things such as: suspected or diagnosed ADHD, chronic anxiety, burnout, and who are seeking balance amidst life's demands. Their work often centers on identity exploration, navigating interpersonal relationships, building self-esteem, developing a more compassionate relationship with their bodies and food, and adapting to life transitions. Together, we explore how anxiety shows up, how boundaries can feel empowering, and what it looks like to build relationships (with yourself and others) that feel safe, reciprocal, and genuine. Wherever you are in your life journey, we are here to come along side you and support you in the next steps. We truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. We encourage you to reach out for a consultation call to determine how we can best support you and answer any questions you might have about the therapy process.

If you’re dealing with anxiety, academic burnout, transitions, identity shifts, relationship changes, or adjusting to living on your own, you’re not alone. You've done the hard thing. You made a decision to talk to someone and you're here. If you are trying to understand the depression that won't go away, even on good days, or quiet the running dialogue in your head that doesn't ever stop, I can help. I can help you manage the behaviors that you can't seem to walk away from, or teach your nervous system to relax so you don't have to feel like you're on hyper-alert all the time. If you need to talk openly about the things you've lost, or things you've seen, or just how much it hurts, I can walk with you through all of it. In my 28 years as a therapist, I have addressed several mental health issues, and consider substance use, military experience, trauma, depression, loss, grief, and spirituality, as specialties. I also offer therapy for suicidal ideation or suicide-centered issues (ideation, attempt or grief), and don't shy away from having the real conversation. I know it takes a lot to choose therapy, more so to pick a therapist. My first goal for us is to build trust, a sense of psychological safety which I value for you more than anything.

At some point, many people realize that what they're doing is no longer working, but they're not sure what to do to fix it. I specialize in people (13+) and families who are dealing with conflict, self-defeating behaviors, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, loneliness, relationship issues, low self-esteem, or questions of identity. Through my practice, I've successfully helped clients move past issues that have blocked them from living fully, completely, and whole-heartedly. While working with me, they've been able to find more joy, happiness, success, and peace in the areas of their life that matter most to them. Together, we'll build your self-awareness, develop clarity on your goals and values, and foster an understanding of where you're coming from and where you'd like to go. I use several evidence-based modalities to help my clients do that, but the most important aspect of my practice is my relational, non-judgmental, open, direct, and clear approach. My work matters deeply to me and I feel a strong calling to give my clients my best, session after session. There's no better feeling I get than when my clients sense their progress and recognize that their life is changing in ways they've always longed for. If any of this has resonated with you, please don't hesitate to reach out. Let's talk.

I spent years as a computer programmer before becoming a therapist and know "always on" work culture from the inside. I also immigrated to the U.S. from Japan as a child. My sessions work with the body directly, through sensation, breath, and movement, alongside talk therapy. I'm also Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist and draw on years of Aikido and improvisational theater in my work. My clients include BIPOC, immigrant, and diaspora students balancing multiple cultures, students managing a health or medical diagnosis alongside school, and people early in a tech-track career already burned out.

My personal identities include: child of immigrants, millennial, cis woman, queer, & mostly able bodied. I find joy in working with: fat/larger bodied folks, the global majority/children of immigrants, & 2SLGBTQIA+. I found that navigating both my culture and what society expected of me was in a lot of ways harmful to my mental health and safety. I continue to go on my own journey of therapy, finding safe community and exploring my own biases. I often watch anime, play video games, board games, and love to bring those into session if appropriate. The topics, tools and space we create together are to support your exploration. Our clinical space will be filled with self compassion so that we can integrate your mind, body, and soul in healing relationships with your own body and others. Through my living/ed experience as a fat person of color, I welcome conversations about intersectionality and systemic oppression. I have spent the majority of my career supporting people of color navigate through different phases of life, especially in college years. We will explore safety in the body, grounding, expressing complex thoughts/feelings, family dynamics and patterns that may or may not serve you anymore. My hope is that you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself, celebrate who you are, and recognize the tools you have to support your wellness. My clinical approach: fat liberation, anti-racist, intersectional lens, and sex positive.
I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ population, addressing men's health issues, and supporting people struggling with addiction and substance use. I am experienced in working with people facing anxiety, stress, depression, and interpersonal conflict. I use a variety of techniques to help my clients, based on what we agree might be best for them - the most important part of therapy with me is you being an active participant in your own goals, progress, and life.
