Do you feel like you don't quite fit in to your life, feel anxious, or long to feel confident and capable? Perhaps you may identify as neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, gifted, a trauma survivor, sensitive, or in a life transition that has you feeling lost or stuck. I may be the right fit for you. I love helping young adults build confidence in their unique strengths, build on their capacities, and learn how to be supported in creating a thriving life on their own terms. I also acknowledge the real struggles with relationships- family, friends, work, or society at large that affect mental health. Let's collaborate. I offer trauma-informed and DBT-informed art therapy, talk therapy, EMDR, somatic, and mindfulness techniques that can improve your confidence. My approach is rooted in real world application, helping you feel empowered and confident in therapy- so you can create a life that best serves your unique way of being. My philosophy of counseling is based on the belief that you possess the power to change, and that my role is to help you become aware of how to understand and utilize that power. My goal is to first listen and fully understand your need(s). After that, I will work side by side with you to develop the insights, tools and skills necessary for you to achieve the goals and changes you are seeking to make. I may draw upon various approaches, including Grief Centered Therapy, Person-Centered, Solution Focused Brief Practice, Emotion Focused and CBT. My hope is that our sessions will help you to feel empowered to challenge your internal thinking process to create positive change in your life. I believe these approaches will help to bring about effective long-term results, by helping you to discover how to utilize your own inner strengths and gifts. You are invited to, at any time, ask questions about what we are doing and the reasons for the interventions. This is your process and investment. Please contact me for a free consultation.

As a practicing psychologist for over 30 years (and a short time before that as an attorney), I understand the importance of having someone to speak with about our worries, questions, changes and even our daily lives. I see adults and adolescents who seek support in navigating stressful situations and not only reaching resolution on that issue, but also learning about themselves in deeper ways. I listen closely and with an open mind. I'm supportive and encouraging and help you make connections to patterns that can rework things you would like to change and do differently. Whether we are working on immediate problem resolution or exploring family/social dynamics, it's important that you feel understood, heard and supported in session. It's also important that you have direct, clear feedback that is experienced as helpful and insightful. Not every session is likely to be groundbreaking, but together, we can work toward defining and reaching your therapeutic goals.

A Stoa Therapy provider. For most families, finding a qualified speech-language pathologist means long waitlists, limited local options, and clinics that don't take their insurance. For adults navigating a voice disorder or recovering from a stroke, the barriers are just as real. We built Stoa Therapy to solve that. By delivering care over telehealth and working directly with insurance, we connect patients across Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, and Louisiana with SLPs who have specialized training in exactly what they need. The result is care that's easier to start, easier to sustain, and genuinely effective. Get matched, visit: https://stoa-therapy.com/

I spent much of my adult life working in Emergency Medicine as a Paramedic before going to the Physician Assistant program at Loma Linda University in Southern California. After graduating from there in 2018, I spent the past five years working in addiction medicine in a residential treatment program in Boulder, Colorado. Working in addiction medicine, I commonly assisted adult patients, of all ages, dealing with anxiety, depression, cravings, withdrawal symptoms and sleep challenges. Patients would often come to me wanting to reduce their amount of medications to just what was helpful and necessary and I would take a lot of pride in helping them achieve that goal. Genetic testing provides a helpful tool to initially choose, change or adjust a dose of a particular medication. I believe that it is important to meet an individual where they are in the healing process and to address the whole person rather than just the presenting problem or symptom. To address the “whole person” requires getting a detailed history and a partnership between patient and provider. Establishing such a partnership gives me great joy.

I have been working in the outpatient setting for over 10 years. I've rotated through a student mental health clinic during my training and have worked with many college aged students. College can be an exciting time of change and growth and finding purpose and connection. College can also be a big adjustment, as you acclimate to a new setting, new responsibilities and being away from home for an extended period, sometimes for the first time. It is often during these big life changes that you may need a little extra help settling in, getting into new routines. Through a combination of therapy and careful use of medication, we can work on getting you in a place to fully engage in and enjoy your college experience.

Welcome, I'm glad you're here and walking your healing pathway. Therapy can be scary with fears of being judged over your thoughts and feelings. Those thoughts and feelings helped get you here but they may not be serving you anymore and you are seeking change. I have been helping people for 18 years by providing insight based therapy and I love when the healing starts to make changes in people's lives. I look forward to helping the healing process. I offer a judgement free environment (don't we do enough to ourselves already) where you can explore new ideas, thoughts and feelings along your journey.

When your mind won’t slow down, your heart feels heavy, or your story feels complicated, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I support clients working through anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship patterns. My style is gentle, direct, and a little playful; think compassion with a dash of humor. Together we’ll untangle what’s hurting, strengthen what’s working, and help you feel more like you. Therapy works best when you can show up as yourself. I integrate different tools and interventions to match your needs, whether you want deeper insight, practical coping skills, or both. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe. Healing can be hard, but it’s still worth it. If you’re curious about working together, contact me by phone or email, or text (970) 829-8780. I see clients in Boulder, Broomfield, and Lakewood.

Change is hard, and getting to know yourself is a process! Some of my clients are neurodivergent, and want support in adjusting to new surroundings and building new skills. I also work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and with other mental health concerns. My background is in somatic, movement-based counseling. In sessions, we might spend time learning more about what your body is telling you, and working with it to find balance and relief. Sessions can also look like talking about life, using expressive art to explore your emotions, or practicing mindfulness skills.
