Therapists for college students near Ann Arbor, MI
The transition to undergraduate or graduate school can be a very vulnerable time, and many experience depression, anxiety, and anger along the way. It can be challenging to reach out for support and get connected, but it doesn’t have to be. I am honored to support and hold space for those struggling during these transitions. I have experience and interest in relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions, issues with family of origin, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and other mood concerns. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health, sexual health, self-compassion, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I strive to use a non-judgmental, empathetic, and validating stance to help clients heal and grow, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. Please reach out if you feel we may be a good fit!

Helping college students and adults with ADHD, anxiety, and depression find clarity, balance, and tools to move forward with confidence. I offer online therapy to anyone in Michigan, no matter where you live, with weekday and evenings available, plus limited in-person sessions. Do you feel overwhelmed no matter how hard you try to keep up? Are you constantly behind, overthinking everything, or wondering why simple tasks feel so hard? I know what that’s like: the mental noise, the pressure to do more, and the frustration of feeling stuck. Living with ADHD, anxiety, or depression can wear you down, and I don’t want you to face it alone. With the right support and practical tools, things can get easier, and I look forward to helping you feel more in control of your life. The tools I use in sessions are ones I’ve built over years of working with students and adults who felt overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Before becoming a therapist, I spent eight years as a school psychologist helping people understand how they learn, think, and cope. That experience shaped my style: practical, thoughtful, and focused on what actually helps in real life. My goal is for you to leave therapy with tools you can use anywhere. Not complicated theories, but simple strategies to help you focus, calm your mind, manage emotions, and handle hard moments. We build these tools together, at your pace, in ways that fit your life. I’m collaborative and supportive, but also active and goal focused. We won’t just talk about what’s hard. We’ll work on what to do about it, starting with what’s bothering you right now and building skills to help you feel more in control. Navigating college life, starting your career, or figuring out your next steps can be both exciting and overwhelming. If you're feeling anxious, burned out, stuck, or uncertain about the future—you're not alone. I specialize in working with college students and young adults who are managing academic stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and mental health concerns like anxiety and burnout. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and connection. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, process emotions, and develop practical strategies to feel more grounded and confident. Whether you're adjusting to campus life, planning a gap year, preparing to graduate, or simply trying to keep up with everything on your plate—therapy can help. My areas of focus include: -Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm -Academic pressure and post-grad uncertainty -Burnout and motivation challenges -Family, friendship, and romantic relationship issues -Grief and loss, whether from a death, transition, or other major life event -Identity development and exploring purpose, values, or long-term goals -Chronic illness support, whether you're living with a diagnosis or caring for someone who is. I earned my MSW from the University of Michigan and have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. In addition to my private practice, I consult in educational settings and support individuals and families coping with grief, illness, and major life changes. If you're a student looking for a therapist who brings warmth, insight, and a touch of humor, I’d love to connect. Therapy is a powerful space to reflect, grow, and take intentional steps forward.
Getting to know yourself—who you truly are—can be one of the most challenging yet empowering experiences in life, especially if you're someone who’s been told you think too much, feel too much, or just are too much in general. If that sounds like you, then we should definitely talk. Clients often come to me because they’ve been misunderstood or boxed in elsewhere. Many of them are figuring out how to live outside the lines: queer folks, neurodivergent folks, people in non-traditional relationships, or people who just never quite felt “normal,” whatever that means. As a neurodivergent queer therapist, I’m right there with you. With roots in narrative therapy and trauma-informed work, I bring a client-led, conversational approach. I enjoy helping individuals and relationships see and make sense of the ways their pasts show up in their present, especially those navigating formative trauma, major identity or life changes, or relationship patterns that feel stuck on repeat. Therapy is supposed to be the place where you get to show up as your full, messy self without judgment. My job is to help you feel safe and grounded enough to do just that. If you’re ready to take the first step towards finding your way back to yourself, I’d love to walk alongside you. Please reach out for a free consultation!

Ultimately, your therapy is built around your individual lived experiences, empowering you to heal and navigate the world as your most authentic self.
