You may feel like your emotions are too much or too big, but I am here to show you that they are not. You may have found yourself in repeating patterns that you can't seem to get out of. Old trauma and current pain may be holding you down. Maybe early on attachment figures didn't set you up for success when it comes to loving yourself, being a thriving adult/young adult, and having healthy relationships with those around you. You want to release the things that are holding you back so that you are better able to manage the stress of everyday life, and feel more secure and confident as you do it. Every part of you deserves to be loved, and by helping find your way through your emotions, I can help you come back into the most authentic version of yourself so that you can thrive. I love to work with women and nonbinary folks in the realms of trauma, relationships, body image, self esteem, and anxiety. If you think I may be a good fit for you, please reach out!

She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College and a Master’s degree from Boston University, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado. Alongside her graduate training, she completed a clinical fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Psychiatry, specializing in Child Development and Infant Mental Health. Starting college is a major life transition that can be exciting, but also challenging and overwhelming. Adjusting to new routines, increased academic demands, and changing social circles is difficult for many students. Nearly 76% of college students report experiencing moderate to severe stress or distress, with anxiety, loneliness, and depression being especially common during this stage of life. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or isolated, therapy offers a supportive space to process tough emotions and big changes. Together, we can develop coping strategies that build resilience and self-compassion, helping you navigate these challenges and rediscover your inner strengths. Change is hard, but you don’t have to figure it out alone!
Hi, I'm Larry - owner and currently primary therapist at Growth Odyssey LLC. Thanks for stopping by! I prefer to utilize a relaxed, approachable style to facilitate easy conversation and connection. I change therapy modalities periodically to best match where you are at with your process. I can use humor to help cut tension and set a pace for conversation that doesn't get too overwhelming. I believe that good therapy is like searching for treasure underwater - we want to go down, sift through the sand and mud, look for buried treasure, and periodically take moments to come up for air. I'm happy to meet you where you're at in your journey and help you find your way. I'm trained: I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UCCS Colorado Springs with additional training for addiction treatment. I've completed trainings for EMDR, ACT, trauma informed care, and many other areas to give me a well-rounded toolbox to work with. I'm experienced: I have worked in most levels of care, from weekly therapy sessions to inpatient rehab for substance use disorders and hospitalization for suicidal thoughts and severe psychiatric distress. I've experienced working with a broad range of issues which means I likely have some experience related to what you are going through.

Struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, or however your distress manifests makes us feel trapped, in cycles of outbursts or avoidance, and coping in ways that are not sustainable. We blame ourselves bringing us further from feeling connected and closer to feeling ashamed. Typically what we see on the surface is mistaken for ourself and is our way to cope with the issues that lie underneath. Therapy is creating a compassionate and purposeful environment to dive into deeper issues, seeing how these issues present in daily life, and developing relevant skills to free ourselves from these issues. I utilize a psychodynamic, relational, and an EMDR based framework to help you dive inward to find underlying issues. I use mindfulness meditation based practices to help my clients build evidence based skills to move through their issues and into inner strength. My integrative approach is here to help you find practical application in daily life. We can begin on a path aiming at feeling present and competent in daily life, building a flow with your emotional experiences, and towards feelings of wholeness in life. Click email or call to get in touch and visit my website for more information. I'll find a time that works for you to get you started soon.
