Therapists for college students near 80309
Virtual Sessions Only! Hi! I'm Stacey. I work with students who are experiencing anxiety. I have worked in Mental Health for over 20 years. I love working with college students! I like to describe myself as your mental health accountability partner. We often know the things we need to be doing to keep on top of our health and wellness, but it's easy to get off track. That's where I come in. I teach you self awareness and how to add daily habits that will help you overcome your anxiety. I give weekly homework (don't worry, it's easy and fun) to help you learn how to manage your anxiety daily. I like to empower my clients by teaching them how their bodies work and how to hack their own nervous systems so they can live a calm and relaxed life. I use an Integrative approach and also offer Hypnotherapy. I offer free consultations. I hope to hear from you!

I work with young women and LGBTQ+ folks with anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. You set goals for yourself that aren’t reachable, and you feel like you’re failing, though from the outside it may look like you have it together. You know that the patterns in your life aren’t working, yet it’s hard to identify what to change and make those changes on your own. It’s a big step to even recognize that you might benefit from therapy. Therapy can help you make those changes so that you can relate differently to yourself, your loved ones, and the stress & loss in your life. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Together, we can untangle old narratives, identify the things that aren’t working in your life, and develop new coping methods that work for you. Therapy depends on us developing a safe relationship from which we can explore your feelings and concerns. In our therapy sessions, you can expect compassion as well as a focus on practical skills on how to relate differently to the stress and loss in your life. I prioritize developing a safe relationship between the two of us in therapy, from which we discuss your relationships with yourself and with others. My practice is antiracist, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and HAES informed. I have immediate openings for teletherapy and in-person therapy. In addition to my regular hours (8am-5pm), I can offer evening appointments upon request. You can schedule a free 15-minute video consultation at my website, sierralarsontherapy.com.

I believe in a therapeutic process that is collaborative and flexible — meeting my clients where they are to foster meaningful growth and change. I approach therapy with warmth, compassion, and honest reflection to create a non-judgmental space for self-exploration. I am passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing emotional struggles, low self-esteem, transitional issues, and attachment injuries. My aim is to collaboratively help you understand patterns in which you feel stuck, find relief from narratives that are no longer yours, and learn how to move towards your goals. I am a graduate of Columbia’s School of Social Work and have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). I am intensively trained in working with body image issues and disordered eating. My style is warm, genuine, and non-judgmental while providing transparent feedback throughout the therapeutic process to maximize emotional growth and healing. I work as a supportive and collaborative partner with each of my clients to find and achieve long-term solutions.
As a Psychiatric PA-C and ADHD coach, trained by the renowned Dr. William Dodson, I am the perfect partner to help you harness your ADHD and quickly overcome any other obstacles you may face in college. ADHD and other psychiatric struggles lead to underperformance in many arenas of life, and my purpose is to help you become the very best version of yourself possible. From that place, you can think and perform at your very best, and CREATE the most rewarding future for yourself. Replace procrastination and emotional overwhelm with hope, confidence, and consistent focus and do it now!
If you are looking to be fixed, you have come to the wrong place. You are a human being longing to be seen and heard, not a problem to be solved. As a queer, Asian (Filipinx) immigrant, I understand the importance of community, advocacy, and finding your voice. Together, we can work to bring awareness to the harmful messages we have come to internalize and the systems of oppression that inform the ways in which we take up space. If you are seeking justice & compassion for inner child you, as well as meaning and belonging for present you - I eagerly invite and welcome you in. I specialize in working with QTBIPOC+ college students, adults, and couples on issues of Intersectionality, Identity, Intergenerational Trauma, Social Justice, Interpersonal Skills, and Self-Compassion Work, among others. Human connection is everything - let's make room for your lived experiences, hopes, and dreams; your mere existence is an act of rebellion When working with me, I want you to feel like you have complete ownership of your personal narrative. I believe that there is so much power to be found within the therapeutic relationship. When there is mutual trust, respect, and authenticity in the room, we can start to effect healing. I see you for all that you are, and all that you still hope to be.
Creating a space where my clients feel safe, heard, and understood is at the heart of my work. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and young adults who may be experiencing anxiety, emotional difficulties, self esteem issues, family transitions, and more. I will work alongside you to hold space and access tools and strategies that can help you grow through life’s challenges!

Hi! I’m Kimberly Carlin, LPC, and I work with women over 18 who want support navigating the ups and downs of life. Between work, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal growth, it’s normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to cope. I help women work through: * Anxiety, stress, and burnout * Relationship challenges and setting boundaries * Trauma or emotional abuse * Grief or major life transitions * Body image and disordered eating * Pressure to be “perfect” or meet high expectations * Life transitions such as parenting, career changes, or caregiving responsibilities Here’s what therapy with me looks like: CBT: Helps you spot unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier ones. ACT: Teaches you to accept feelings and focus on what matters most. Somatic Therapy: Uses your body to release stored stress, tension, and anxiety. IFS (Internal Family Systems): Helps you explore different parts of yourself and understand conflicting thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Inner Child Work: Helps you understand how past experiences shape your feelings today. EMDR: A specialized approach that helps painful memories feel less overwhelming. Christian Counseling and Prayer (optional): For women who desire, therapy can integrate Biblical principles, prayer, and exploring God’s perspective of who you are to guide healing, self-worth, and decision-making. I provide online therapy and am licensed in multiple states, so you can continue care even if you travel, work remotely or move. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, gain clarity, and build tools to navigate life with more confidence, self-compassion, and faith-based guidance if desired. Whether you’re feeling stressed, struggling with relationships, wanting to process trauma, or navigating major life transitions, I’m here to support you. Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. For the “weirdos,” “misfits,” seekers and dreamers. Those who feel invisible, not enough, alone or like you are not able to be fully you and still be loved. The people who find solace in books and music, and intimate conversations. Who deeply feel there is something more or a better world possible. For people who feel both at home and alone in solitude. You’re not wrong for holding contradictions and it makes sense if the world feels at times both too heavy to bear and so full of magic and wonder. Have you been told that the way you experience the world is "too much" or you are "too sensitive?" Maybe you feel like you have a breadth of awareness and understanding but don't experience the solace you are longing for. Or that you have had to hide parts of yourself to belong, only to feel more disconnected. Imagine a life where you feel connected, alive and able to embrace the fullness and vastness of who you are. Where your energy can move towards things outside of the performance of being acceptable. I view therapy as quiet work; where the small and sometimes big shifts, hold the power to change what is possible for all of us. I will be with you as you gain clarity around your own wisdom and knowing; deconstruct the unhelpful stories you hold about yourself; and I will always sit with you through discomfort, dis-ease, celebration and joy. I work from modalities and techniques that are rooted in story telling and visualization (Narrative, IFS); and body based awareness and nervous system regulation (Somatic).
Do you feel overwhelmed, disconnected or unmotivated? Have you noticed changes in how you're feeling in your life and want to feel better? The past year has been a challenge for all of us, on every level. Having to manage the challenges of school, work and relationships during a pandemic has led many students to feel intense stress and anxiety, self-doubt, loneliness and depression. Learning about yourself and finding ways to manage challenges all leads to a sense of more control in your life and more confidence overall. I believe that when we take time to connect and have a space to talk, we realize what we're feeling is human and valid. Even in our hardest times, we all have strengths to build upon. I work with you to increase your awareness of your thoughts, your body and how to feel more connected to both. I am passionate about working with teens and young adults and work with many college students. I believe in an inclusive, supportive, collaborative therapy experience that feels empowering to you. I use a blended approach to therapy, focusing on strengths and skills and enjoy working on communication, self-advocacy and healthy relationships. I also blend skills such as mindfulness and other techniques to address specific anxiety disorders, such as social anxiety and OCD.

I am a religious trauma therapist in Denver. Recovering from conservative religion can leave you questioning who you are, what you believe, and how to trust yourself. Maybe you're stuck in perfectionism, constantly thinking, “I’m not good enough,” leading you to isolate from others or hold yourself back from your goals. Maybe you have trouble making decisions because you believe you can't trust your instincts. You might not remember a time when things felt different. But you’re ready for relief: a kinder inner voice, more joy, and a deeper connection to your authentic self. You’re ready to feel confident, not because you’re perfect, but because you’re finally free to be you. As an experienced self-worth, anxiety, and trauma therapist, I believe you can untangle the messages from your past that are holding you back. You don’t have to keep making yourself small and you don’t have to do the work alone. Visit my website to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can discuss how I can help.
Hi there! My name is Kayla Deep, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping people experience more peace, emotional regulation, and confidence. The stories we tell ourselves about our lives are very powerful. By identifying the narratives that are empowering us and the ones that are causing us harm, we can choose to write a new story, one where we are our most authentic selves. I aim to create an environment conducive to growth with a warm and affirming presence. You are the expert of your experience, and I am here to help reflect your wisdom back to you. I especially love working with people who are undergoing some kind of transition (graduation, moving, loss of a person or relationship) as I believe these are often times where we grow the most. Whatever approach we use will be tailored to your individual needs and goals, changing and evolving as you change and evolve! Creating a warm and empowering environment to process your stressors is important to me. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please reach out to schedule a consultation!
