Hi! I’m Kimberly Carlin, LPC, and I work with women over 18 who want support navigating the ups and downs of life. Between work, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal growth, it’s normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to cope. I help women work through: * Anxiety, stress, and burnout * Relationship challenges and setting boundaries * Trauma or emotional abuse * Grief or major life transitions * Body image and disordered eating * Pressure to be “perfect” or meet high expectations * Life transitions such as parenting, career changes, or caregiving responsibilities Here’s what therapy with me looks like: CBT: Helps you spot unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier ones. ACT: Teaches you to accept feelings and focus on what matters most. Somatic Therapy: Uses your body to release stored stress, tension, and anxiety. IFS (Internal Family Systems): Helps you explore different parts of yourself and understand conflicting thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Inner Child Work: Helps you understand how past experiences shape your feelings today. EMDR: A specialized approach that helps painful memories feel less overwhelming. Christian Counseling and Prayer (optional): For women who desire, therapy can integrate Biblical principles, prayer, and exploring God’s perspective of who you are to guide healing, self-worth, and decision-making. I provide online therapy and am licensed in multiple states, so you can continue care even if you travel, work remotely or move. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, gain clarity, and build tools to navigate life with more confidence, self-compassion, and faith-based guidance if desired. Whether you’re feeling stressed, struggling with relationships, wanting to process trauma, or navigating major life transitions, I’m here to support you. Finding calm and clarity when your mind won’t slow down is possible. I can guide the way. We have more influence over our thoughts than we realize. In our work, you’ll learn to approach your thinking more intentionally. As your thoughts change, you’ll start to notice changes in how you feel, the choices you make, and how you move through your life. I help clients slow things down, make sense of what’s been difficult, and address the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. This often includes working through anxiety, depression, and the impact of trauma and past experiences. I also support women navigating life transitions, helping them feel more grounded and steady through change. My approach is thoughtful and practical, combining insight with tools you can use in your day-to-day life.

Hi, I'm Larry - owner and currently primary therapist at Growth Odyssey LLC. Thanks for stopping by! I prefer to utilize a relaxed, approachable style to facilitate easy conversation and connection. I change therapy modalities periodically to best match where you are at with your process. I can use humor to help cut tension and set a pace for conversation that doesn't get too overwhelming. I believe that good therapy is like searching for treasure underwater - we want to go down, sift through the sand and mud, look for buried treasure, and periodically take moments to come up for air. I'm happy to meet you where you're at in your journey and help you find your way. I'm trained: I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UCCS Colorado Springs with additional training for addiction treatment. I've completed trainings for EMDR, ACT, trauma informed care, and many other areas to give me a well-rounded toolbox to work with. I'm experienced: I have worked in most levels of care, from weekly therapy sessions to inpatient rehab for substance use disorders and hospitalization for suicidal thoughts and severe psychiatric distress. I've experienced working with a broad range of issues which means I likely have some experience related to what you are going through.

Often our hurtful experiences are out of our control. You didn’t choose to live with pain. You are tired of feeling alone and misunderstood. The reality is our painful experiences and memories can shape our beliefs and worldviews, creating mistrust, shame, anger, and isolation. Living with chronic pain, illness, trauma, anxiety, and grief – does change us. Even if you don’t feel like it at this very moment, there is part of you that knows they deserve something more, whether it’s self-compassion, self-kindness, healthy connections, pleasure, or the chance to move from coping to thriving. You are ready for something more, I can help. Individuals come to me needing someone relatable, gentle, and affirming- someone who normalizes their experiences and helps them get to the root of their concerns. Sessions together are more just talking but incorporating your mind, body & soul to experience deep healing and re-connected to self. Healing at your pace and comfort. I welcome all humans of different backgrounds, genders, races, and beliefs. My values and approaches are LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive. You don't have to show up how the world thinks you should be -just how you are. You're safe with me.

I am a practicum intern therapist offering somatic, person-centered therapy for adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges and identity shifts. I am especially passionate about helping women traverse the emotional landscape of midlife, menopause, and perimenopause. My approach to therapy is grounded, intuitive, and deeply relational. I create a warm, attuned space where you feel supported in exploring who you are and where you want to go. I believe that change feeds the soul—and that healing begins when we meet ourselves with compassion, curiosity and courage. Before entering the field of psychotherapy, I was a professional musician and integrative somatic coach. My background in music and coaching informs my ability to listen deeply, connect through presence, and help you attune to the rhythms of your own inner experience. In addition to completing my Master's in Clinical Counseling at Adams State University, I am currently pursuing certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing International. I offer therapy in person in Boulder and online throughout Colorado under the supervision of licensed clinicians at Thrive Psychotherapy.

As a social worker, I believe in the importance of human relationships and in the dignity and worth of the person. I therefore approach every client as an individual and focus on establishing a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe in each person’s ability to grow and change. I believe that we are inherently well intentioned and are simply learning who we are and how we want to show up in this world. I offer an interpersonal style of Cognitive Therapy, combining the belief that it’s the relationship that heals, with an active, educational, and skill based approach. I hope to inspire a fascination with our minds, ultimately supporting clients in developing a strong and healthy sense of self, where you are no longer servants to your “thinking mind” or “conditioned self”, but rather live from the truth of who you are. I believe that the work lies not in getting rid of the unpleasant or uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, and emotions, rather in changing our relationship with them when they arise, based on a more integrated and clear understanding of ourselves. While I was originally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, most of my clinical experience has been through interpersonal styles of therapy. I believe that the relationship established in a counseling setting is the main priority and factor in the work and growth that is achieved. I therefore aim to foster a relationship with my clients that cultivates authenticity. Through the relationship, grounded in empathy and compassion, I establish a safe and comfortable environment allowing for honest, genuine feedback, ultimately leading to learning and personal growth. I am supportive and directive, while working collaboratively with the client to target issues, minimize symptoms, increase overall wellness, and improve self understanding. Trained in a variety of approaches, I often incorporate many of them in to my treatment based on the individual. My training and experience includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Depression Care Management, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. These approaches are well suited for the treatment of depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and phase of life problems, aiming to teach people to allow for what is happening in the moment without the pressure of trying to change it or fix it, which more often creates increased suffering. They teach us that we do not have to act on every thought and feeling that arises, but we can learn to engage in behaviors that are in line with our values. My approach will often include experiential activities, behavioral experiments, skill building, psycho-education and between session practice. I believe that much of the work done in counseling actually happens between sessions and will therefore check in with you from week to week regarding use of skills, observations of self, and insights gained.

Have you been struggling with reoccurring thoughts, memories, and images of past stressful events that you can't get out of your mind? Are you experiencing loss of time with no explanation, feeling out of control of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors? Does it sometimes feel that you are living life from the back seat with no control? You could be experiencing dissociation and the after effects of trauma. I specialize in working with the whole self to process through past trauma & negative beliefs about yourself in order to open up new ways of interacting with the world and new beliefs. As an EMDR trained therapist I use your brain's natural neuron network to help you reform negative beliefs about yourself that were formed in trauma. The brain holds onto trauma; using bilateral stimulation it is possible to make sense of our past memories so that they do not have emotional power over our lives. EMDR has also been known to decrease anxiety. If you are an individual who is struggling with past trauma, dissociation, or anxiety; please feel free to contact me for a free 30 minute consult to see if I am the right therapist for you. I would love to help guide you along your healing journey.
