Therapists for college students near Georgia State University
At WellBeing NP, we work best with students who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or under pressure to “keep it together.” Many of the students we see are dealing with anxiety, ADHD, low mood, trouble sleeping, or stress from school, relationships, and life transitions. This is a good fit if you want someone who listens, explains things clearly, and helps you figure out a plan that actually feels manageable while you’re in school.
Welcome to Your Path to Empowerment and Personal Growth: As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I understand that college life can come with its own unique set of challenges—academic pressure, relationship struggles, identity exploration, and managing stress. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to support you. With a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services, I take a holistic and non-judgmental approach to therapy. I work with a diverse range of clients, meeting you where you are, and together we’ll work to uncover the tools and strengths you already possess to build a healthier, more confident version of yourself. In our sessions, you can expect an open, collaborative environment where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My goal is simple: to empower you to thrive and become the best version of yourself, inside and out. If you’re ready to take the first step toward understanding yourself better, navigating your challenges, and growing through the process, I’d love to help guide you on that journey. Let’s work together to make your experiences more fulfilling, balanced, and aligned with your true potential. Carla
Are you struggling with sadness, motherhood stress, anger, relationships, or family? Are you feeling emotionally drained? Or maybe you and/or your child is having behavioral challenges, racial identity issues/trauma, or a hard time adjusting to a relocation, divorce or separation, or other change(s) in their life? We help rebuild and reunify individuals and families by teaching coping skills and better communication skills to children ages 3-18, adults, and families. Wherever you have been, however you have arrived, I’m glad you are here. To me, therapy is about taking time and space to listen to our bodies and emotions, with the hope of allowing us to reconnect with our inherent wisdom. We don't lose touch with this wisdom by accident. Trauma, unhealed wounds, and oppression separate us from our wisdom and intuition, and impact our ability to access all parts of ourselves. You and your body carry so much, from the grief and resilience of those who came before you, to the stress of everyday life. You were never meant to carry it all on your own. I approach therapy from a relational and attachment-based framework, with strong influences from intersectional feminism, trauma-informed care and somatic practices. I also believe that our individual health can't be disentangled from our collective wellbeing and therapy is only one of many paths towards healing.

My pronouns are she/her/hers. I offer both individual therapy and psychological assessment. Assessment can be used to evaluate for concerns like ADHD or autism, screen for learning challenges, track changes in neurological functioning, and more. For assessment, I see clients 5 years and older. For individual therapy, I see clients age 14 and older. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and coping with life changes. I also used to work at universities and know the unique experiences and challenges college students face. For any therapist you work with, one of the most important pieces is connection. I may not be the right therapist for everyone and that is perfectly ok. Find who you mesh with and who works for you, and you will give yourself the best chance of success! I believe that therapy is only part of your journey. When we meet, I want to know not only what is upsetting you but also what your goals and hopes are for the future. My goal is to stand with you as you gain the power to reclaim the parts of your life you want to improve. If you feel a connection with me, therapy can be a place to learn more about yourself, challenge worries, process past and current strife, and more. I can be a witness, guide, support, and collaborator. We will work together to get you through this.
At Taylor’s Touch of Clarity, we work best with college students who feel overwhelmed, stressed, or uncertain—even if everything looks “fine” on the outside. Many of the students we support are balancing classes, work, family expectations, relationships, and the pressure to figure out their future, all at the same time. You may be experiencing constant stress, anxiety that makes it hard to focus, low confidence, or feeling stuck in your own head. Some students come to us feeling burned out, disconnected, or unsure of who they are becoming. Others are navigating depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, or major life transitions. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and support is available. Our practice is built on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where students can openly talk about what they’re going through without feeling rushed, labeled, or misunderstood. We focus on meeting you where you are and tailoring care to your individual needs, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. At Taylor’s Touch of Clarity, counseling is a collaborative process. We believe progress happens best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their growth. Our clinicians work alongside students to build practical coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and strengthen confidence in both academic and personal areas of life. Using a client-centered and strengths-based approach, we help students identify their values, recognize their strengths, and develop tools to manage stress, anxiety, mood challenges, and relationship concerns. Our goal is not just to help you get through college, but to support you in building skills and self-understanding that will serve you well beyond it.
